A scrotal lift is a trend that might make you grimace, but it’s a small price to pay for the perfect sack! Scrotoplasty is the latest cosmetic procedure men are asking for. Also known as a Scrotal Lift or Scrotal Reduction, it is a surgical procedure that works to remove saggy, excess skin on the testicles.
The procedure was originally carried out on cancer patients and men with scrotal abnormalities or injuries. With social media constantly swamping us with the perfect body image and pressure to slow down the aging process, scrotal lifts are becoming popular for purely cosmetic reasons.
Over time, the scrotal skin can lose its elasticity although the procedure is not specific to an age range. Commonly men can develop a rash associated with excessive sweating which can interfere with daily activities. The psychological affect can cause men to have low self-esteem and lack confidence in relationships.
Benefits of Scrotal Lift Surgery:
- Boosted self-confidence
- Reduces discomfort
- Reduces irritation
- Improved sexual activities because of increased self confidence
- Long lasting results after surgery
The operation can be performed under a local anaesthetic as a quick, simple procedure so patients can leave the same day. It involves removing excess skin, then the muscle is re-joined at the seam of the scrotum to minimise any scar visibility. The scars are extremely well hidden and will effectively improve the appearance and discomfort associated with lax scrotal skin.
With it being such a quick procedure more and more men are opting to go under the knife!
Patients will feel tender and swollen for a few days afterwards. Full recovery can take up to six weeks so any strenuous activity, including sex and masturbation, is not advised during that time. Only a small price to pay for those ball-conscious men out there!
You will be left with an extremely neat, smooth package and boosted confidence!
Our Clinic Director, Mr Roger Bigwood, was recently featured on an American Radio Station ‘Bob and Tom’ discussing the popularity of the procedure and going into more detail about it. Listen to the full interview here on our website.
