Lower Eyelid Surgery also known as Lower Blepharoplasty is an operation to remove sagging skin and bags from below the eyes. The surgery reduces under-eye puffiness to leave the eyes refreshed and rejuvenated.

If you are having Eyelid Surgery, you should avoid Anti-Wrinkle Injections on the forehead, glabella (the area between the eyebrows, under the eyebrows and crow's feet. Injections can change the overall amount of skin laxity and give a false impression of the amount of skin available. So it's essential to avoid them before your consultation and before surgery. It is, however, okay to have Anti-Wrinkle Injections immediately after the surgery or even on the day of surgery.
In some people, the eyelid skin is very soft and can stretch again over time. Further skin may need to be removed to maintain the cosmetic result. Sometimes the brow drops, giving the appearance of loose skin around the eyes. If this is the case, a Brow Lift may be more appropriate than revision Eyelid Surgery. … Numerous things resulted in me having my surgery at Bella Vou. When I first started looking at UK surgeons, a significant number of them wanted a fee for a consultation with a surgeon… Bella Vou does not charge for a consultation. I believe the charge is a form of pressure to commit, dressed up as some ethical decision… This was the first thing that made me consider Bella Vou…I then contacted Bella Vou and went from there. They are clear that you can see the surgeon initially remotely; however, they will not proceed with surgery without seeing you in person—how it should be!… A week before, I was sent a detailed email with all the requirements for me pre-operatively. Whilst they stated there may be a charge at this point, the option to back out from the surgery was still available. There was never any pressure to commit… After five hours of surgery, I came around in my suite. I was initially in a lot of pain and had severe swelling, resulting in both my eyes being closed—I was unable to see. The nurses, again, were outstanding. They worked tirelessly to help me get my pain under control, which took a fair bit of work! Despite the surgery only being booked for the day and with most staff having gone home, there was not a hint of them trying to get me discharged, and they were happy to stay and chat with me and ensure my pain was under control before I left. I cannot thank them enough for this. I wish I could remember names, but I was a bit out of it!… I cannot fault Bella Vou at all. Every single touchpoint for the customer has been considered; not a thing was missed or overlooked, and I felt entirely confident they and Hagen would be there to support me post-operation as much as I required. They absolutely deserve their “outstanding” CQC rating (something else that drew me here) and demonstrate a masterclass in customer service. They deserve to do well with this approach… I cannot recommend them highly enough, and you will be in the best possible hands choosing Bella Vou for your surgery.

I highly recommend Amir Nakhdjevani for your procedure. This was my first such undertaking at 60 years old, and with it came some trepidation as I stepped into the unknown world of cosmetic surgery. Any fears I had were soon put to rest. Amir explained my options for blepharoplasty surgery (eyebags), along with what was possible, and the likely results… After 6-months of recovery I was not entirely satisfied with my results. There had most definitely been an improvement, but not as much as I had wished for. I explained this to Amir, and he was very supportive. My experiences with Bella Vou have been nothing but positive throughout my whole journey to date… I was happy to proceed and I am so happy with the results so far. I could see an improvement immediately after surgery and even in the first few days as the swelling and bruising got worse, I still felt I looked better than before. During those first 2 weeks, I did have a few panic moments mainly regarding my upper eyelids, I kept noticing little imperfections which I tried not to obsess about; now they have had time to settle down those imperfections are not noticeable but at the time when I mentioned my concerns, I was given reassurances that if those imperfections were still there after I had had time to heal more, they would try to address them. I look at myself now and I can’t believe the bags are gone, my under eye area looks so much better than 50% better, I know I’m still healing, I still have a bit of bruising and swelling but I really hope I don’t look too different from what I do now when I’ve fully healed. I had been considering lower eyelid surgery for a while, as my eye bags were getting me down. I have very few wrinkles and felt that my eye area was the one thing making me look older and constantly tired. I did lots of research on various clinics, and came across Bella Vou. After reading lots of great reviews, I booked in for a complimentary consultation with Amir and liked his honest and friendly approach right from the start and from there made the decision to go ahead with surgery a few months later. I cant say I wasnt nervous on the day, but Amir and the team made me feel very comfortable and relaxed… The whole process took around an hour and a half and I left the surgery feeling absolutely fine. I took 2 paracetamol that afternoon but didn’t need any other painkillers after Day 1. I am now 3 weeks post surgery and my eyes look amazing. Ive had no after effects such as dry or watery eyes and my scars are barely visible. I know the healing process can take up to 6 months, but I am so happy already and dont know why I left it so long to have this done. The clinic is spotlessly clean and the staff are so caring and friendly. Amir is a great surgeon and I would recommend him without any hesitation.

I was an extremely nervous patient and asked a lot of questions prior to the surgery and needed a lot of reassurance right up to the morning of the op. However, nothing was too much trouble and I was treated with kindness and care throughout. I originally went to see Amir about replacing a breast implant which had ruptured (done 10 years prior with a different surgeon) however, I was also very unhappy with the sun damage on my face and my eyebags. I did not think I was brave enough to tackle all of these issues however, Amir was extremely knowledgeable and no-nonsense with his approach and he made me feel immediately relaxed and confident in his abilities… It is now 3 weeks on and I could not be happier with the results…I have enjoyed a trouble-free recovery.
