The area around the eyes will likely be swollen and bruised, stitches will be present along the incision line. Follow any instructions given by your surgeon for wound care. you may also experience some pain and discomfort, which can be managed with medication.

Concept Facelift and Upper Blepharoplasty (eyelids to you and me) After a face and neck lift carried out in Thailand 5 years ago I was not happy with the results. Unfortunately ended up with sagging and scar tissue under my chin. I think this is called (dog ears or cobra neck) Although I was offered free surgery back in Thailand to try and rectify the issue I didn’t feel comfortable. I spent hours looking for surgeons all over the country, then I found Bella Vou. What I liked about Amir was his honesty, he said it wouldn’t be easy and could only give a 50-70% success rate. For me personally, this was a huge improvement .. I have always had hooded eyes so decided to have them done at the same time Oh my goodness, it’s incredible. Hagen was professional yet approachable and made me feel at ease from the moment we met at my initial consultation. The clinic is immaculate and all staff were very attentive. I was extremely nervous on the day of my procedure but Hagen and Jade (assisting nurse) were masters at keeping the conversation flowing and before I knew it the procedure was finished. It is exactly 2 weeks today that I had my upper eyelid surgery and my eyes look fantastic. All bruising has completely disappeared. In fact all bruising had disappeared after 7 days. I cant say I wasnt nervous on the day, but Amir and the team made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I opted for local anaesthetic…The injections were painless and the actual procedure was much less scary than I expected. Amir chatted to me the whole time and made sure I was comfortable. The whole process took around an hour and a half and I left the surgery feeling absolutely fine. I took painkillers that afternoon but didnt need any others after Day 1. I am now 3 weeks post-surgery and my eyes look amazing. I’ve had no after effects such as dry or watery eyes and my scars are barely visible. I know the healing process can take up to 6 months, but I am so happy already and don’t know why I left it so long to have this done. A very down-to-earth talented surgeon who really just wants to do his best for you. I had wanted this done for a while as my eyes were getting heavier and harder to conceal with makeup. I am not a nervous person but was nervous about this surgery because it’s the eyes, so made sure I took my time selecting the right surgeon. I had quite bad swelling at first which is quite common for me from past procedures. Amir reassured me this was normal, he also took the time to call me and put my mind at ease. I took photos every day and saw improvements I recommend doing this. I am now 2 weeks post op and the results already are amazing I still have some residual swelling along the incision which is slowly getting better you can feel the healing taking place.

So this is more psychological than physical although it does have physical knock-on effects: Before my blepharoplasty, I would have sleepless nights writing about how much worse my baggy eyes would look without a good night’s sleep. The worrying would cause me NOT to sleep thereby increasing my anxiety. It was a vicious circle. This has been for years. I’d been thinking about a facelift for years due to the wrinkles, lines, and changed appearance were not in harmony with who I am. Only when I met Amir did I know that without a doubt, he was the one! I completely trusted him with my face, neck, and eyelids. We decided against dancing. 3 nights of eating pain – resorted to painkillers after two nights, and that did the trick. I’d been thinking about a facelift for years due to the wrinkles, lines, and changed appearance were not in harmony with who I am. Only when I met Amir did I know that without a doubt, he was the one! I completely trusted him with my face, neck, and eyelids. I would have never believed I would be laughing and joking throughout the surgery. It was an amazing experience with no discomfort. My partner and I walked home and went out for dinner that night. We decided against dancing. 3 nights of eating pain – resorted to painkillers after two nights, and that did the trick. So this is more psychological than physical although it does have physical knock-on effects: Before my blepharoplasty, I would have sleepless nights writing about how much worse my baggy eyes would look without a good night’s sleep. The worrying would cause me NOT to sleep thereby increasing my anxiety. It was a vicious circle. This has been for years. A very down-to-earth talented surgeon who really just wants to do his best for you. I had wanted this done for a while as my eyes were getting heavier and harder to conceal with makeup. I am not a nervous person but was nervous about this surgery because it’s the eyes, so made sure I took my time selecting the right surgeon. I had been considering lower eyelid surgery for a while, as my eye bags were getting me down. I have very few wrinkles and felt that my eye area was the one thing making me look older and constantly tired. I did lots of research on various clinics, and came across Bella Vou. After reading lots of great reviews, I booked in for a complimentary consultation with Amir and liked his honest and friendly approach right from the start and from there made the decision to go ahead with surgery a few months later. I cant say I wasnt nervous on the day, but Amir and the team made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I opted for local anaesthetic…The injections were painless and the actual procedure was much less scary than I expected. Amir chatted to me the whole time and made sure I was comfortable. The whole process took around an hour and a half and I left the surgery feeling absolutely fine. I took painkillers that afternoon but didnt need any others after Day 1. I am now 3 weeks post-surgery and my eyes look amazing. I’ve had no after effects such as dry or watery eyes and my scars are barely visible. I know the healing process can take up to 6 months, but I am so happy already and don’t know why I left it so long to have this done. I would also recommend the dissolvable stitches (Hagen only uses these) as I have compared my healing to a friend (same procedure) who had removable stitches and mine healed so much quicker. I cannot recommend this procedure enough to anyone thinking of having it. It really has made such a huge difference and is basically a very quick and pain-free procedure. Just go for it.

Hagen was professional yet approachable and made me feel at ease from the moment we met at my initial consultation. The clinic is immaculate and all staff were very attentive. I was extremely nervous on the day of my procedure but Hagen and Jade (assisting nurse) were masters at keeping the conversation flowing and before I knew it the procedure was finished. It is exactly 2 weeks today that I had my upper eyelid surgery and my eyes look fantastic. All bruising has completely disappeared. In fact all bruising had disappeared after 7 days. I would highly recommend following the after care instructions given as I personally feel that the cold compress helped me heal as quickly as I did.
