Labiaplasty TREATMENT OVERVIEW
Labiaplasty surgery is used to reduce the size of the inner lips of the vulva, the labia minora. During labiaplasty, the aesthetic labiaplasty surgeon removes any excess tissue. This is to make the labia minora smaller, more even and neatly contained within the outer lips.

Labiaplasty Surgery Types
Labia Minora Reduction or Labiaplasty is an operation to reduce the size of the inner lips of the vulva, the labia minora. During the procedure, the specialist surgeon trims away any excess tissue to leave the area neat, symmetrical, and contained within the outer labia.

SCAR CLINIC
Throughout your recovery with Bella Vou, you will attend regular sessions with our dedicated Scar Clinic to help support healthy healing. Our in-clinic wound specialists will monitor your progress, assess scar formation, and provide expert care to ensure optimal outcomes.
Day 1
Expect mild to moderate pain or discomfort in the area. there may also be swelling, bruising and tenderness. it is normal to experience some bleeding or spotting.
Day 2
Bruising and swelling are typically at it's peak today. The pain is manageable with medication, but discomfort may persist. pain and swelling may still be present.
Day 3
By this stage, the swelling and bruising may start to subside. Discomfort and pain may still persist, especially when sitting or moving around. You may feel tightness or soreness in the area
Day 4
You are still in the early stages of healing, swelling and bruising may still be present but will continue to gradually go down, most of the sharp pain should subside, but may still feel discomfort when sitting or moving in certain ways. some itching as healing progresses is common, but do not scratch the area.
Day 5
Swelling, bruising and discomfort should continue to improve. you should notice the initial healing process progressing well. Pain should be minimal by now but you could still experience some tenderness and soreness, especially with certain movements.
Month 3
By this stage most of the initial swelling, bruising and discomfort should be resolved. pain at this point should be minimal to nonexistent. some may experience mild sensitivity in the area however things should be back to normal
It is important to follow your surgeon's post-operative instructions carefully and attend all follow-up appointments to ensure the best possible healing and cosmetic results.

Honestly I would recommend Amir Sadr to anyone looking to get a labiaplasty and CHR. I am now 5 weeks post-op and I couldn’t be happier. I had been wanting this procedure done for years but was always too scared to do it. I then had a couple of consultations with other clinics, one of which I had to pay for! But I never quite felt right with any of the other clinics. Then I came across Bella Vou, and I knew from the beginning that it was the right place for me. I travelled quite a way, a 3-hour journey, but it was well worth it. When I had my face to face consultation, I was really nervous at first but as soon as i met Amir, all my nerves went away. He explained everything fully and realistic expectations. I then booked my surgery date on the day with my lovely patient co ordinator Soile. She reassured me that it is an extremely common procedure and that Amir does multiple a week! So he is very experienced… The procedure took about 90 mins and was completely pain-free. Nurse Jo was also lovely, we just all talked about netflix etc throughout. Recovery was okay, really uncomfortable for a couple weeks, and very swollen, but after 2 weeks the pain had subsided. The emergency WhatsApp chat was a godsend especially because I worry alot, they were great and I even got a response on Christmas day! Im now 5 weeks and all my stitches have near enough dissolved, and I am so happy, I feel so much more confident! Thank you Bella Vou!

For anyone considering this surgery, book it!!Rado and my amazing patient coordinator, Victoria, have made the experience so seamless and worth while. Something so intimate was handled with such care and consideration for my comfort both physically (of course) but also mentally, with the anxiety that naturally comes in the build up to and the surgery day itself. The nurses are so kind, warm and reassuring. Gabriella specifically who felt like a friend on the day of my surgery. She told me heading into my op that I was the 4th person having the same surgery that day alone, which eased my mind that I was in safe hands and knowing that it’s such a normal concern and common op for women. The surgery itself took less than 45 minutes, I warned Rado that I am abit screamish and so had concerns about being awake for this, but I couldn’t feel a thing after the numbing injection, Rado was chatting away to take my mind off it and I even played a Christmas film out loud for everyone in the room to listen to lol. I can laugh now but not how I imagined watching my first Christmas movie of the year!! The healing was about 3 days of discomfort (wouldn’t say pain at all) and you notice in this time the worst of the swelling (don’t be alarmed). My advice to anyone going in would be to just stay in bed for the entire first week- I didn’t move to ensure I healed correctly, and as frustrating/boring as that felt in the time, I’m so glad I listened to Rado’s advice as now I can really appreciate the results. I expressed concerns at around week 2 into my healing (I feared I had infection – which turns out I’m just dramatic) and my coordinator was at the end of my emails reassuring me that nothing was wrong, and I was just experiencing my body’s natural way of healing. I’m now nearly 5 weeks post op, my life is completely back to normal, back to work, back to the gym (still taking it slow and listening to my body), and SO much more confident. The ladies at reception and involved in the patient experience are so so kind too! I ended up having a gossip session with the lovely Noula after my op. I then saw her briefly at my in person week’s check up and despite her not assigned to be part of my experience with Bella Vou, she recognised me instantly and greeted me with a hug and a check in as to how I was. I only have wonderful things to say about Rado and the Bell Vou team. From start to finish, they have been attentive, knowledgeable, supportive and just so fantastic. They saw me very quickly for a consultation and just totally put my mind at ease once i had spoken to Rado. Having labiaplasy is something I wanted for years as iI have always been really self conscious about that area. I’ve had various consultations over the years with various surgeons but never had the courage to go through with the procedure. I had my first consultation with Amir and he instantly made me feel relaxed in what I felt was a really embarrassing situation. He talked me through the procedure, addressed my concerns in depth and showed me pictures of his work. After my consultation I decided to go for it and booked my surgery for a couple of months later. On the day of my surgery I was beyond scared and a bit of a nervous wreck. When I arrived at the clinic all of the staff were so lovely and Made me feel relaxed and at ease by making me a coffee. I then went through to see Amir before my surgery and he made me feel so reasured and way less nervous. The surgery was so much easier than I anticipated. I felt no pain and Amir was amazing. My experience with Dr Sadr was brilliant from start to finish. He came highly recommended from online reviews for this particular procedure so I felt I would be in safe hands before even meeting him, but I was also able to go for a free initial consultation in person with him which was really great, as I wasn’t 100% sure what I needed / whether my desired results would be achievable and didn’t want to have to pay upfront to find out. My consultation was very thorough and clear – you are given a patient co-ordinator too who is in touch throughout the process and there to answer any questions. On surgery day I was given tea, coffee, biscuits and everything was explained to me – I felt really looked after. All of the staff I came across at the clinic were amazing and so so friendly – for a procedure such as this it’s important to feel comfortable and not judged and that was definitely my experience. The surgery itself was pretty uncomplicated and went very quickly, I felt very comfortable with Dr Sadr and Nurse Jo… Communication post op has been brilliant, the staff check in on you and are very responsive if you have questions or issues. My pain post-op has not been bad at all, better than I expected. I am still very swollen (16 days PO) but already I am over the moon with how things are looking! I would highly recommend Bella Vou and Dr Sadr for intimate surgery and would 100% come back if I ever wanted another procedure.

Currently nearly 2 months post-op and I couldn’t be happier that I chose to go ahead with this, I was a little bit unsure to begin with and had fears of losing sensation however, I have had no complications. The swelling was the worst on day five and started to go down afterwards. Amir was fantastic and so was the nurse, Gabriella. They were both so kind and considerate – especially when I was stressing about the surgery. The surgery itself was around about an hour long and I was able to scroll through my phone for the duration. I had a Clitoral Hood Reduction and Labiaplasty done at the same time. Amir was so helpful at telling me why this was needed and realistic expectations for the aftermath. Unfortunately, one of my external stitches was not healing in the way I thought it was meant to so I emailed Stacie, my coordinator. I had a video consultation and face-to-face before making any decision and then when I decided to commit I was able to have the procedure in under a months time. I’ve never had any procedures so it was daunting but Amir and the lovely nurse kept me calm and chatting and even listening to music throughout, and it was all over in 90 minutes with no pain (aside from the initial anesthetic injections of course!). Ever since I was around 14 I noticed that I wasn’t comfortable with my vagina. And felt that something wasn’t right, I was uncomfortable in clothes etc and when I looked in the mirror I just wanted to cry. From my 20’s I researched Labiaplasty but always thought I would not be able to afford it so I would have to suffer forever. I came across a review of real self and then was added to a WhatsApp group and got talking to some girls who had surgery from Hagen or were booked in. This was 2018 and we still talk now (new friends and vagina). Despite the distance between my residence (central Scotland) and the surgeon just outside London I pursued surgery with Hagen…Presurgery – Hagen provided notes of the consultation and some info regarding the surgery itself. It has been 15 months since I had labiaplasty performed by Hagan. I had the wedge procedure performed under local anaesthetic. It has been a life-changing experience, to say the least. My top tips are: 1. Be very liberal with the numbing spray!! I didn’t feel a thing as the spray is effective when dowst in it. I sprayed from my fupa to my anus and all in between. You don’t feel anything, just some mild tugging and a touch of anxiety which the nurse and Hagan helped to subside. 2. Under NO circumstances drive yourself home afterwards. 3. Wipe your calendar for at least 3 days minimum. 4. Soak pads in cooled boiled water, freeze and use to cool the burning sensation. 5. Put a pillow under your knees and stay topped up with mild painkillers. 6. Use a jug of warm water to dilute urine. I used a capful of Dettol in the jug once a day after the cream ran out. 7. Be prepared for some interestingly shaped swelling which can still happen months down the line. My sex life and self-esteem has increased dramatically. I have a new partner who did not know I had any work performed until I told him 4 months into our relationship. I no longer have to think or worry about my labia. It looks perfect in every way! I had no loss of sensation.

I recently had labiaplasty (4 weeks ago today), it is something I’ve been wanting for about 12 years now and I FINALLY went ahead with it. The first week or so I thought I’d made a big mistake as I hated the recovery as I found it slow and was just in a lot of discomfort, towards week 2 I started to feel better, and the swelling slowly started to go down and I’d finally returned back to work (although I found it a bit of a struggle as I have a physical job), by the 3rd week I felt comfy wearing thongs etc again and also just started to generally feel a lot more ‘normal’, coming into the 4th week, I feel loads better. The whole Bella vou team were great and I’d highly recommend them. Now I’m finally healed (still not 100%) it’s made me realise it was the best decision I made. I’m so glad I decided to go for it!

After researching for years, I’m so glad I allowed Hagen to do my procedure. He’s such an attentive, kind, professional individual who is really good at what he does. Obviously being quite a private place to have the op it can be quite embarrassing and nerve wracking but he puts you at ease and talks you through everything to ensure you want to go ahead, and is there for you after the procedure too to check that you are healing well and don’t have any problems. I’ve been through the procedure now and I’m so glad I travelled over 3 hours to Hagen, I wouldn’t have wanted to go with anybody else. I know it’s a daunting experience girls… If you’re in doubt though I’d say go ahead and have a consultation with Hagen… you have nothing to lose and if you decide to go ahead with the procedure then it will change your life! 🙂

I’ve been considering Labiaplasty for around 10 years since I was about 14 after discomfort wearing certain pants, playing sport & even just walking frustrated me daily. I also have found it super embarrassing to feeling self-conscious when wearing bikinis and never letting my boyfriend of 10 years see me naked. I finally took the plunge and emailed Hagen about a month ago & I am so glad I did as I’m only under 12 hours post op and I feel so much happier already. Hagen is such a lovely man, from email & phone calls to consultation and the surgery he is faultless. I was so nervous at my consultation but he put me at ease and reassured me every step of the way. When I turned up yesterday for my surgery I was shaking and Hagen and his assistant Corinne who held my hand were amazing, I talked the whole time which distracted me but I can honestly say the pain of the local anaesthetic was non-existent after using the numbing spray & I felt nothing during the procedure. I couldn’t believe how quickly it was over and done with and I was on my way! The pain has been more manageable than I expected and I’m ready to rest for a few days in bed before I attempt to get up and move more later this week. I received an email from Hagen a few hours after the op with my procedure letter and a message to hope my journey home went ok and if I have any problems to email or WhatsApp right away. It’s obviously very swollen but even with it being swollen I am over the moon with the results & can’t wait to see the end result in a few months… I can’t recommend Hagen enough, he is the loveliest surgeon going.

I am day 1 post-op and so happy!
Dr Schumacher is very professional and his bedside manner was faultless. He listened to my concerns before and during the procedure and addressed them checking each step of the way that I was happy. This was possible as it was carried out under a local anaesthetic. Having never had a local anaesthetic I was somewhat apprehensive but it was painless and it was nice to be able to communicate whilst the procedure was taking place. Emma, Dr Schumacher’s assistant was very nice, calming and happy to help, as little, or as much as you felt you needed. Dr Schumacher was very thorough with the advice given and made sure that I was fully aware that if I had any concerns I could call/email/send a photo or have an appointment. I was provided with a goody bag to take away which consisted of sanitary towels, painkillers, instant ice packs, the ointment required for next 2 days and information relating to aftercare etc. Although I found the pain quite intense once the local anaesthetic wore off last night, I took some strong pain relief and slept well. I have had some bleeding but minimal swelling currently and already so amazed with my results. I wanted to write this review as soon as possible to reassure and help anyone thinking of going ahead with the procedure with Dr Schumacher that in my opinion you will certainly not be sorry. I am Over the moon and only sorry I didn’t do this sooner!…

I have had a very long wait for this procedure. I am glad that I did not wait any longer and I already felt it was delayed. I did a lot of research and consultations before meeting Dr. Hagen and I feel very blessed to have fallen into his hands. He has been very understanding and patient in answering all of my many questions. It is natural to be anxious as it is a sensitive topic on a sensitive area but everything was dealt in such a professional way making me feel very comfortable.
The procedure was painless and had a very enjoyable chat since it was done under local anaesthetic. I definitely recommend Dr. Hagen to anyone for this (and other) procedure(s) as I am only in the recovery period and I smile at my results. Personally, this really affected me for years in ways I cannot express to write down with words. Finally I am very satisfied having a huge burden lifted off my back. Saying this, I will forever be thankful. I can’t wait till summer to get in my bikinis ever so confident! I am sure that for any future procedures to come, he will be my first call. I also want to give credit to the female assistant who literally held my hand if I needed it and had a very calmful presence that made me feel safe. Overall, I think that I met a very good surgeon and a very good person too. I had Labiaplasty surgery with Hagen yesterday and I just wanted to leave an honest review for other ladies who are thinking about going ahead with the same procedure. DO IT!!! Hagen really cares… All of my nerves went away and the procedure itself was completely pain-free!! The drive home was bearable, don’t get me wrong I could feel the local wearing off and I have had to have pain relief every 4 hours hence why I am writing this review at 4:30am but please do not let this put you off!! I am yet to use the loo (dreading it slightly) but also looking forward to getting the cold shower on there!! I will update as the days go on but have been told to not even look down there for a couple of weeks!!

I am unfortunately a case of previously diving into surgery without doing my research, and this time I ensured I would do all my homework before making the same mistake twice. I ended up with a small list of surgeons whom I was most impressed by. Due to my research, I knew I would be looking at around the 4K mark, and accepted that, figuring out how certain I was about wanting this procedure. I had 3 consultations before meeting Haagen Schumacher – he immediately made me feel at ease and had more before and after photos than the others (which all showed unreal results by the way). The photos, his knowledge and demeanour are what swayed it for me. Now please understand when people say you get what you pay for – this is not always the case… If I was in any way uncertain whether Mr Schumacher was the right surgeon for me I would not have proceeded to allow him to do my surgery. Simple as that. I couldn’t recommend him any more highly. I am 2 months post-op and he has continued his excellent care and follow-up’s throughout. I had the surgery under local anaesthetic and the procedure only lasted a couple of hours. Hagen ensured I knew everything I needed to know before going ahead with the procedure. The procedure itself was pain-free, the only slight bit of discomfort was the anaesthetic. I had taken 10 days off of work and spent the 10 days resting, drinking a lot of water and on painkillers. Ice packs had helped a lot when healing and laying with a cushion between my legs was a lifesaver! I’d known I wanted this procedure done for a very long time as I felt my confidence and comfort affected for as long as I can remember. I’d never had any kind of procedure done before so was anxious and didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked into the clinic I felt instantly put at ease. Every single member of staff is absolutely lovely and you really do realise quite quickly that you’re in very good hands! On the day of the procedure, I was extremely nervous but I can honestly say that, having chosen to have it done with a local anaesthetic, I felt no pain at all. I’m a very squeamish individual and the worst bit of it for me was overthinking it. In terms of recovery, I felt a bit too good afterwards and set myself back a few days by not being as careful as I should have been.
