TREATMENT OVERVIEW

Profhilo is a stabilised form of the collagen-boosting chemical hyaluronic acid. However, it’s not the same as a Dermal Filler. Profhilo is a revolutionary type of injectable skincare. It rehydrates and remodels the skin to smooth and tighten ageing and sagging complexions.

Profhilo effectively moisturises the skin from the inside. It is injected at key strategic points to improve skin hydration and create volume. The gel spreads easily and lasts in the skin for twenty-eight days, during which time it stimulates natural collagen and elastin production to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin.

Profhilo can be used to treat skin problems on the body as well as the face. The cost of treatment depends on the size of the surface to be treated.

Step 1. Free, no-obligation consultation

Bella Vou offers every client a free consultation with an expert. The consultation is an opportunity to discuss any concerns you have, the results you want to achieve, and whether Profhilo can help you reach those goals.

Step 2. Preparation for Profhilo

No specific preparation is needed for your therapy. However, you may be asked to stop taking some medicines such as aspirin and ibuprofen to prevent bruising and bleeding. It’s also a good idea not to drink alcohol for twenty-four hours before the procedure.

If you have any concerns, the staff at Bella Vou will always be on hand to answer your questions and offer support.

Step 3. What happens during Profhilo?

Profhilo is carried out as an outpatient procedure. Before treatment, the skin specialist will apply a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the skin and ensure your comfort.

The consultant will cleanse and prepare the skin. They will then inject the Profhilo through a fine, sterile needle.

The injections are placed at key points. For facial treatment, there are five strategic spots: in front of both ears, near the nasolabial folds, the chin, under the eyes, and the upper cheeks. However, Profhilo can also be used to treat signs of skin ageing on the chest, neck, and the backs of the hands.

Step 4. Recovery from Profhilo

After the procedure, you can go home and get on with normal activities. However, the staff at Bella Vou are always on hand to offer you a drink or a snack and answer any questions.

The pinpricks are tiny, so you are unlikely to notice them. However, the skin may be a little red, and there may be small bumps at the injection site for a day after treatment.
