Mark lives with his wife and his cat Chloe. He lives his life according to the Muhammad Ali quote:

A voracious reader, he’s done speed reading courses so he can read five books a week, even when working. He’s always trying to learn new things and push the boundaries.

Mark trained as a doctor at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. He worked as a registrar in plastic surgery before focusing on aesthetics. He has a wealth of experience and expertise from his ten years in the cosmetic industry. He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine and a qualified medical hypnotherapist.
As the clinical lead for Derma-Medical, the biggest aesthetic training company in the world, Mark teaches advanced aesthetic techniques to doctors and surgeons from around the world. He is the key opinion leader for two aesthetic companies, is actively involved in research and has spoken at international conferences including the Aesthetics Conference & Exhibition (ACE).

I’ve seen Dr. Holmes at Bella Vou for Anti-Wrinkle Injections and tear trough filler. My experience couldn’t be more positive. I’ve previously had Anti-Wrinkle Injections and filler (though not tear trough filler) at another clinic near my home but wasn’t fully satisfied for reasons that I’ll come to. I then had surgery at Bella Vou last year and was so impressed with… well, everything… that I thought I’d try getting my aesthetic treatments done there, too… Tear trough filler was something I was nervous about from a pain perspective, but Dr Holmes used a cannula, and I barely even felt it. In contrast, my previous injector used a syringe for filler and I think this contributed to the discomfort and bruising. Most importantly, the results look fantastic. Very natural, but refreshed. Bella Vou is a 2 hour train or car journey for me, but I’m more than happy to do 4 hours of travel to receive such superior treatment. I can’t recommend Dr Holmes and Bella Vou enough.

Mark is so incredibly kind and patient, always giving totally honest advice with absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Having seen some horror stories on the internet I was very nervous about having the CO2 laser treatment to my face but after in depth discussions with Mark, I knew that it would be the right treatment to restore some youthfulness to my very tired looking and weathered face. Eventually I decided to take the plunge and prepared myself for what I thought would be a very unpleasant experience. I can honestly say the worrying about it beforehand was worse than the treatment itself or the recovery time !! After five days I could start to see my new complexion surfacing and after ten days, apart from some slightly pink areas I was positively glowing. I am now two months post procedure and I am so pleased that I have had the treatment. The results are so good and my face feels tighter and looks so much fresher. The improvement will continue to take effect for a few more months yet so I couldn’t be happier. In fact I am so impressed with the results I have been back to have my eye area, hands and neck lasered too. I highly recommend Mark as I know I am in expert hands and he will always give me the best advice. I’ve previously had Anti-Wrinkle Injections and filler (though not tear trough filler) at another clinic near my home but wasn’t fully satisfied for reasons that I’ll come to. I then had surgery at Bella Vou last year and was so impressed with… well, everything… that I thought I’d try getting my aesthetic treatments done there, too… Tear trough filler was something I was nervous about from a pain perspective, but Dr Holmes used a cannula, and I barely even felt it. In contrast, my previous injector used a syringe for filler and I think this contributed to the discomfort and bruising. Most importantly, the results look fantastic. Very natural, but refreshed. Bella Vou is a 2 hour train or car journey for me, but I’m more than happy to do 4 hours of travel to receive such superior treatment. I can’t recommend Dr Holmes and Bella Vou enough.

Mark is so incredibly kind and patient, always giving totally honest advice with absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Having seen some horror stories on the internet I was very nervous about having the CO2 laser treatment to my face but after in depth discussions with Mark, I knew that it would be the right treatment to restore some youthfulness to my very tired looking and weathered face. Eventually I decided to take the plunge and prepared myself for what I thought would be a very unpleasant experience. I can honestly say the worrying about it beforehand was worse than the treatment itself or the recovery time !! After five days I could start to see my new complexion surfacing and after ten days, apart from some slightly pink areas I was positively glowing. I am now two months post procedure and I am so pleased that I have had the treatment. The results are so good and my face feels tighter and looks so much fresher. The improvement will continue to take effect for a few more months yet so I couldn’t be happier. I underwent C02 laser resurfacing at Bella Vou a few weeks back (entire face) and couldn’t be happier with the result. I honestly believed going into this that with skin that had been abused with sun damage for years it was more than likely going to be one of those too little too late situations but I was wrong. Already, thanks to the lovely Mark Holmes and with months of further improvement to look forward to, the finer lines have all but disappeared and my skin looks fresh and rejuvenated. Better still, the whole process – booking, the actual procedure, aftercare and follow up – was seamless and (and this was really important to me) I always felt listened to, be it in regard to expectations specifically or any other concerns. All in all a thoroughly positive experience.
