Concept Facelift and Upper Blepharoplasty (eyelids to you and me) After a face and neck lift carried out in Thailand 5 years ago I was not happy with the results. Unfortunately ended up with sagging and scar tissue under my chin. I think this is called (dog ears or cobra neck) Although I was offered free surgery back in Thailand to try and rectify the issue I didn’t feel comfortable. I spent hours looking for surgeons all over the country, then I found Bella Vou. What I liked about Amir was his honesty, he said it wouldn’t be easy and could only give a 50-70% success rate. I have loathed my neck from a very young age. I had no definition of jawline and neckline, it was all “one”. I had a consultation with Amir who is a very charming, personable man and very straight talking. He and his team made me feel very comfortable. Dr Amir is a true expert in his field with an artistic eye for what suits particular individuals… I decided there was no other surgeon for me… The Concept facelift is truly revolutionary. No need for a general anesthetic or a hospital stay, and no drains and bandages. I feel like I have my ‘old’ face back…I am two and a half weeks post-operative, and my face just gets better and better as the swelling recedes. Your face has been altered and it is painful, but it is a surgical procedure so pain is to be expected, but by the third day I stopped taking painkillers as it wasn’t necessary. I was an extremely nervous patient and asked a lot of questions prior to the surgery and needed a lot of reassurance right up to the morning of the op. However, nothing was too much trouble and I was treated with kindness and care throughout. I originally went to see Amir about replacing a breast implant which had ruptured (done 10 years prior with a different surgeon) however, I was also very unhappy with the sun damage on my face and my eyebags. The night before the operation I was so nervous I didn’t sleep. Going to Bellavou, I was terrified. Upon arriving I wanted to run away! But the moment Amir came and spoke to me, I felt reassured. Walking into theatre, I still wanted to run away but I decided to be numbed up first and then see how I felt before legging it!! Everyone says the injections are painful. Well actually they are fine, honest! And once lying down, listening to music, and chatting, I decided that maybe I wouldn’t run away after all. The surgery is nothing to worry about. It is far worse going to the dentist! Afterward, I felt tight and my jaw ached. I took painkillers for 24 hours, then felt able to halve them and by day three was only taking a couple of paracetamol an hour before bedtime so my ears weren’t sore against the pillow. From the moment of your first consultation, the whole Bella Vous team puts you at ease and makes you feel at home. On the day of my surgery (concept facelift, neck lift, and liposuction) I was absolutely sure I was in the right hands and had no doubt that I was doing the right thing…I am so glad I did, I hardly remember a thing about the procedures at all. So….. I am day 8 now and yes the first 3-4 days are uncomfortable and a little painful but this was all explained to me in detail before I left so I wasn’t at all concerned, you just need to remember to take regular painkillers and keep on top of it. I was unhappy with my jowls on my face for many years. The rest of my face was good for my age but I felt that jowls were aging me. I wanted to have them removed but was unwilling to go through a GA for vanity. So when I found Amir at Bella Vou who was happy to do the surgery under local anaesthetic I did not hesitate. Absolutely thrilled with my concept facelift performed by Amir. It is literally one week today after my operation that I am writing this post… Basically the surgery is carried out under local anesthetic and takes approx 3 ish hours depending on what is being done. I chose to have lipo as well which Amir said would give me the neck and jaw line i wanted… I actually didn’t want to look at first as was nervous but was thrilled with the results which I am assured will get better and better as still a little puffy but not really noticeable to anyone but me. I gave Amir a big hug as was so happy with the results. Thereafter I can honestly say i hardly took any pain relief for the next couple of days in fact went out for a drive and a walk around the park on day 2 with a scarf around my neck of course and each day the bruising has just got less and less and has not stopped me going out at all. It’s a little uncomfortable at night sleeping but invested in a V pillow which has helped a lot. …I want to shout from the roof tops about this guy he is a pure genius and loves his work it so clear to see. I had a concept face and neck lift and liposuction. Apart from the initial discomfort of the injections and the strange sensations during the liposuction, the whole procedure was totally pain-free. It took a few days for things to settle down and a little longer to be able to sleep as I sleep on my side, but now 3 weeks later I look and feel amazing. It took a few days for things to settle down and a little longer to be able to sleep as I sleep on my side, but now 3 weeks later I look and feel amazing. During the operation, I was completely awake and chatted with the doctor and the assistant…After the operation, I had no trouble walking to the parking lot to meet my husband who was waiting there. My face was swollen but a day after the operation, the swelling started to go away and in about a week’s time, there was barely any swelling left. My biggest surprise was the fact that I had absolutely no bruising anywhere on my face, neck or around the area where stitches were, Not a single one immediately after the operation or later on…I did not sleep very comfortably during the first night as I used three pillows and tried to sleep while sitting but later I got used to it. I arrived at Bella Vou washed and ready but of course rather nervous… Amir explained very clearly the procedure and said that the injections may be a little uncomfortable but were manageable…I was beginning to show my mother’s turkey neck and my big fear was that I should end up with the same look. The liposuction on my neck was carried out first and was painless. Then one side of my face and then the other was carefully cut and pulled…Amir was gently explaining what he was doing and then finally after approximately three and a half hours, I was ready to go home… already I could see the difference and my face was much smoother and younger looking. I had the Concept facelift and necklift and on the morning of the operation, Dr Amir Nakhdjevani was very reassuring. The local anaesthetic injections were a little uncomfortable but I’ve had more pain at the dentist!…The operation took roughly 2 ½ hrs and after a much wanted coffee, I was free to go home. I did have some swelling and slight bruising on one side but after a week or so, the swelling and bruising disappeared. My ears and earlobes gave me some discomfort over the next 10-11 days but with paracetamol and Ibruprofen they greatly eased. Now after just over a fortnight, I haven’t taken any painkillers at all. My care at the hospital was fantastic I was constantly asked if I needed pain relieve or eye pads I couldn’t believe how little discomfort I had. Absolutely thrilled with my concept facelift performed by Amir. It is literally one week today after my operation that I am writing this post… Basically the surgery is carried out under local anesthetic and takes approx 3 ish hours depending on what is being done. I chose to have lipo as well which Amir said would give me the neck and jaw line i wanted… I actually didn’t want to look at first as was nervous but was thrilled with the results which I am assured will get better and better as still a little puffy but not really noticeable to anyone but me. I gave Amir a big hug as was so happy with the results. Thereafter I can honestly say i hardly took any pain relief for the next couple of days in fact went out for a drive and a walk around the park on day 2 with a scarf around my neck of course and each day the bruising has just got less and less and has not stopped me going out at all. It’s a little uncomfortable at night sleeping but invested in a V pillow which has helped a lot. …I want to shout from the roof tops about this guy he is a pure genius and loves his work it so clear to see. On the day of my surgery (concept facelift, neck lift, and liposuction) I was absolutely sure I was in the right hands and had no doubt that I was doing the right thing…I am so glad I did, I hardly remember a thing about the procedures at all. So….. I am day 8 now and yes the first 3-4 days are uncomfortable and a little painful but this was all explained to me in detail before I left so I wasn’t at all concerned, you just need to remember to take regular painkillers and keep on top of it. The worst part is the injections at the beginning but they are just uncomfortable and not very nice. I had a facelift three years ago with Amir in Glasgow. I am male and bald, so was especially worried about how the scars would look around my ears. The results were incredible and the scars are imperceptible. Not one person has ever noticed a mark, and I was back out in public within a couple of weeks… What I found was that immediately after surgery everything looks extremely tight in the first few weeks when there is still some swelling in the skin. It took a good few months for the last little bits of swelling to go, and when it went, my skin did loosen off a bit. The results are fantastic and the procedure was, at worst, uncomfortable at times. To be awake and not have general anaesthetic was for me, amazing! It took under 2 hours (different lengths of time for individual patients) but I don’t think it takes more than 2-3 hours for anyone who has it done. Amir is so professional and the girls are very supportive. Stitches dissolve quickly, healing, no problem. I think this was easier than going to the dentist! The night before the operation I was so nervous I didn’t sleep. Going to Bellavou, I was terrified. Upon arriving I wanted to run away! But the moment Amir came and spoke to me, I felt reassured. Walking into theatre, I still wanted to run away but I decided to be numbed up first and then see how I felt before legging it!! Everyone says the injections are painful. Well actually they are fine, honest! And once lying down, listening to music, and chatting, I decided that maybe I wouldn’t run away after all. The surgery is nothing to worry about. The results were stunning, even as soon as I got off the operating table when Dr Amir passed me the mirror so I could see my face immediately after the surgery. I feel like I have my ‘old’ face back…I am two and a half weeks post-operative, and my face just gets better and better as the swelling recedes. The scarring is so small already, that it’s difficult to see. The first few days are the most difficult as you can feel rather odd emotionally. Your face has been altered and it is painful, but it is a surgical procedure so pain is to be expected, but by the third day I stopped taking painkillers as it wasn’t necessary. I really appreciate all the information Bella Vou posts on their website. I can’t recommend enough watching the video of the Concept facelift procedure so you know exactly what to expect if it is a procedure you are considering. Concept Facelift and Upper Blepharoplasty (eyelids to you and me) After a face and neck lift carried out in Thailand 5 years ago I was not happy with the results. Unfortunately ended up with sagging and scar tissue under my chin. I think this is called (dog ears or cobra neck) Although I was offered free surgery back in Thailand to try and rectify the issue I didn’t feel comfortable. I spent hours looking for surgeons all over the country, then I found Bella Vou. What I liked about Amir was his honesty, he said it wouldn’t be easy and could only give a 50-70% success rate. For me personally, this was a huge improvement .. I have always had hooded eyes so decided to have them done at the same time Oh my goodness, it’s incredible. I cannot wait to finally wear eye shadow… I am home now on day one of surgery and feel great, yes a little sore and swollen, but I can see a huge improvement. To me, it looks 100% better…Lastly, it’s really important not only to be comfortable with the surgeon but also the team looking after you. Had my long awaited procedure on Saturday 23rd March at Bella Vou. The clinic is modern & very luxurious and the team are welcoming & warm. I’d like to give a special thanks to the amazing Consultant Plastic Surgeon Amir Nakhdjevani for his open & honest advice, experience and skills to achieve what I was looking for, to Anaesthesiologist Ravi, who made me laugh ( & I wasn’t sick as promised) to the beautiful nurse Gabriella, who is just so lovely & caring and last but not least the wonderful Bella Vou chauffeur Joe who picked me up at 5:30am and took me home 10 hours later ( 150 miles in all! ) Joe was professional thoughtful and kind. Thank-you also for the unexpected gift bag from The White Company, full of luxury goodies to enjoy !
