As a result of huge weight loss, Lee was left with a large amount of excess skin on his abdomen which left him requiring surgical intervention.
Lee's weight loss journey first began three years ago when he weighed 18 ½ stone (around 117 kilograms). Through unwavering determination and focus on achieving his goal of being ripped by the time he turns forty, Lee has shed an incredible 40 kilograms (approximately 88 pounds).

After having neglected my body for the last twenty years, I knew I needed to make important lifestyle changes to regain my health, wellbeing and confidence. Motivation to undergo surgery stemmed from the life-changing weight loss journey that followed this very harsh realisation. Having lost nearly 40kg over three years, excess skin became a concern. Whilst the rest of my body took on a new shape and form, my torso had hints of my old body and lifestyle that no longer resonated with me. I knew I needed surgical intervention and quickly started researching my options.
Ultimately, I made the decision to remove the excess skin in order to improve my confidence. While it is by no-means the final stage in my journey, I came to realise that it was a crucial step towards moving on with my life and progressing further along the path of self-improvement.
Choosing Bella Vou for my tummy tuck surgery was a result of a recommendation from a supportive social media weight loss group. As a male navigating the - predominantly female-oriented - cosmetic surgery world, finding a surgeon who truly believed in my journey and understood my aspirations proved to be a challenge. Among the three recommendations provided by the group, one surgeon dismissed my goals as unrealistic, and another failed to acknowledge the progress I had already made. While I even explored the option of a surgeon in America specializing in male tummy tucks, it wasn't feasible for my family.

Over the past three years, I have been in a calorie deficit, focusing on losing weight. Now, my aim is to participate in a bodybuilding competition in April or May of next year, which means it's time to shift my focus towards gaining. It may seem counterintuitive, but I need to regain some of the weight I lost, except this time it will be lean muscle mass instead of fat. From now until Christmas, my primary focus will be on bulking up and increasing my size. Then, starting in January, I will begin the cutting phase, aiming to reduce my body fat to around six to eight percent in order to qualify for the bodybuilding competition.
I am fully committed to entering the competition wholeheartedly, just like any other contestant. I will be participating in the transformation category, where they showcase a picture of me at my heaviest, hoping to impress and inspire others. My goal, which I had even before coming to Bella Vou, remains the same: to wow the audience, achieve a victory, and then set new goals for the next phases of my journey.

I am almost 4 weeks post surgery, I had a breast uplift and a thigh lift. I recently underwent an abdominoplasty and hernia repair with Mr Dr Amir Nakhdjevani. Whilst I didn’t have excessive amounts of loose skin, I had post-pregnancy wrinkling above my belly button, stretch marks, and diastasis (abdominal separation), which meant my abs never really reflected the effort I put in at the gym. I first chose Bella Vou after seeing Dr Amir featured on ITV’s Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection and was immediately struck by his warm yet professional manner. Alongside this, Bella Vou’s complimentary consultation service and complete lack of pressure really appealed to me. It genuinely felt as though they put the client first, which isn’t always a given. The clinic itself feels more like a five-star hotel than a medical facility — elegant, spotless, calm and welcoming. Every member of staff strikes the perfect balance between friendly and professional. Dr Amir is clearly exceptional at what he does; he communicates with expertise and honesty, manages expectations clearly, and makes you feel completely safe and confident in his hands. The surgery itself lasted around 2.5 hours. The overnight care was also fantastic — the night staff were incredible, I was able to order complimentary Deliveroo, watch Netflix, and my husband was able to stay with me for most of the evening, which made a huge difference. I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers once I arrived home – such a thoughtful touch. Recovery-wise, I think it’s important to be honest for anyone considering this surgery: the first week is tough. I would strongly recommend having family or friends around to help with moving around, meals and keeping on top of medication. Between the anaesthetic and pain relief, I felt mainly drowsy, swollen and nauseous during that first week. However, the clinic were incredibly reassuring throughout and always available to answer questions, which helped enormously. The second week was significantly better. I was still walking slightly hunched over but was moving around the house much more confidently. Sleep improved and I became more comfortable wearing the compression garment. By the end of week two, I felt physically and mentally much brighter. I’m now at the beginning of week three and the difference compared to two weeks ago is incredible. My posture is almost completely back to normal, and whilst I still need to rest in the afternoons, I look and feel like myself again. One thing I would strongly recommend is taking a full two weeks off work if at all possible. I had optimistically scheduled a couple of work calls during week two and ended up needing to cancel them because my concentration still wasn’t fully there. In hindsight, I should have completely blocked out those two weeks from the start. Overall, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience and feel very grateful to the entire Bella Vou team.

I’m two weeks post tummy tuck and fat transfer to breasts and am recovering better than I thought possible. The results even this early are quite amazing. The experience on op day was lovely, you genuinely feel like you’re staying in a spa hotel, the environment is gorgeous and the nurses and theatre staff were all so lovely and could not be more helpful and attentive. I was laughing away with the theatre staff before I went to sleep. Amir is an artist and his work is exceptional. I wanted someone who was in the UK , who was highly reputable – Dr Amir is a very experienced surgeon with his own clinic in Tunbridge Wells. My first consultation confirmed this decision . I had an initial consultation, decided to go ahead and had the procedure within a few weeks which was painless as was the recuperation. You were given a bag to take home with everything that you may need in recuperation. The results are excellent- I have the eyes I want. I can wear my make up as I want. Everyone on the team at Bella Vou was amazing and made you feel appreciated and connected. Dr Amir was professional, calm and reassuring. No question was too silly. I would highly recommend Bella Vou if you’re considering any kind of cosmetic surgery especially Dr Amir. From the moment I stepped into Bella Vou I felt so welcome & relaxed every member of staff is so friendly and can’t do enough for you. I had done some of my own research into the clinic before my consultation with Dr Amir but every video I had watched and reviews I read were exactly who he was in person kind, caring & very knowledgeable he listened to everything I wanted to achieve. My amazing patient coordinator is Julia she is so lovely and couldn’t do enough for me, she has been so reassuring and such a friendly face to see whenever at the clinic, always on hand to answer any questions I couldn’t have gone through this all without her. My surgery went really well, Amir is incredible at what he does. I was so well cared for & the rooms are spotless. I was sent home with all my medication & a timed schedule when they needed to be taken. I was also offered the Chaucer service to my 1 week post op appointment, my driver Andy was very friendly & held good conversation. I also received a beautiful bunch of flowers a week after my surgery which was a lovely little touch. I’m just under 2 weeks post op and almost back to normal, I’m excited to see my results over the next coming weeks/months. I am almost 4 weeks post surgery, I had a breast uplift and a thigh lift. Amir was my surgeon and I couldn’t have chosen a better one, from the first meeting he was so open and so honest with everything , which I really appreciated, he filled me with much needed confidence and I felt that I would be able to love myself after having my surgery having discussed everything with him and what to expect.
