TREATMENT OVERVIEW

Microneedling is a non-invasive skin treatment. Dr Uma uses microneedling tool called a SkinPen® to make a series of tiny punctures in the surface of the skin. Each of these holes triggers a wound healing response to repair the skin cells. As a result, there is increased production of the skin’s vital collagen and elastin. The skin appears plumper, more even and renewed. SkinPen® is the only FDA-Cleared microneedling device available.

Can Microneedling be used on the body?

Microneedling can be used to treat skin problems on the body as well as the face. Scarring, pigmentation and stretch marks can all be addressed. The cost of treatment depends on the size of the surface to be treated.

Speak to a specialist at Bella Vou to find out the best treatment to get the results you want.

Is Microneedling the same as home rollers?

Microneedling is a highly technical procedure performed in specialist clinics, under expert supervision.

Home dermarollers create more shallow punctures, which are less likely to trigger a wound healing response. Consequently they are less effective as a method of rejuvenation, although they may make your skin appear brighter.

At Bella Vou we provide various payment options meaning you can spread the cost and enjoy a confident outlook at a price you can afford.

Prices are £250 per session (Usually 5 sessions are required; 3 one month apart and 2 three months apart).

Finance your treatment

We can offer a wide range of incredible finance solutions and payment plans to help you pay for your procedure or treatment, starting from as little as 0% APR!

YOUR SIMPLE
4 STEP
JOURNEY

YOUR SIMPLE 4 STEP JOURNEY

Step 1. Free, no-obligation consultation

Bella Vou offers every client a free consultation with an expert. The consultation is an opportunity to discuss any concerns you have, the results you want to achieve and whether microneedling can help you reach those goals.

Bella Vou will always give you an honest and impartial professional opinion. Mr Amir Nakhdjevani says:

‘At Bella Vou, we never pressurise people or try to sell procedures. It's always about giving an honest opinion and honest advice.’

Step 2. Preparation for Microneedling

No specific preparation is needed for your therapy. However, Dr Uma may ask you to stop taking some medicines such as aspirin and ibuprofen to prevent bruising and bleeding. It may also be necessary to stop using topical retinoid preparations.

If you have any concerns the staff at Bella Vou will always be on hand to answer your questions and offer support.

Step 3. What happens during Microneedling?

Microneedling is carried out as an outpatient procedure. Before treatment, the skin specialist will apply a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the skin and ensure your comfort.

Dr Uma will use a pen-like device to make multiple tiny punctures in the skin. They will carefully move across your skin, ensuring an even distribution of punctures. This ensures that the fresh, new skin that develops will also be smooth and even.

Step 4. Recovery from Microneedling

After the procedure most people are able to go home and get on with normal activities. However, the staff at Bella Vou are always on hand to offer you a drink or a snack and answer any questions.

The pinpricks are tiny, so you are unlikely to notice them. However, the skin may be a little red and irritated for a few days after treatment. Your skin may also be more sensitive, so careful sun-protection is essential.
