Here, Rado made significant contributions to the field through teaching and training. As a mentor for the Aga Khan University residency program, Rado was responsible for preparing the next generation of plastic surgeons to provide comprehensive breast cancer care, positively impacting patients' lives and expanding access to quality care in East and Central Africa.
Throughout his time in East Africa, Rado encountered and treated some of the most extreme war and trauma cases. In addition to his professional commitments, Rado actively engages in charity work, particularly in Africa, and has volunteered in plastic surgery missions to Cambodia and Laos, providing specialised expertise to disadvantaged communities.

I’ve seen Dr. Holmes at Bella Vou for Anti-Wrinkle Injections and tear trough filler. My experience couldn’t be more positive. I’ve previously had Anti-Wrinkle Injections and filler (though not tear trough filler) at another clinic near my home but wasn’t fully satisfied for reasons that I’ll come to. I then had surgery at Bella Vou last year and was so impressed with… well, everything… that I thought I’d try getting my aesthetic treatments done there, too… Tear trough filler was something I was nervous about from a pain perspective, but Dr Holmes used a cannula, and I barely even felt it. In contrast, my previous injector used a syringe for filler and I think this contributed to the discomfort and bruising. Most importantly, the results look fantastic. Very natural, but refreshed. Bella Vou is a 2 hour train or car journey for me, but I’m more than happy to do 4 hours of travel to receive such superior treatment. I can’t recommend Dr Holmes and Bella Vou enough.

The first time I met Rado I was a shell of my true self. Weighed down by my previous surgery after a cervical cancer diagnosis. I didn’t love myself or my body. Rado declined to operate on me at our first consultation. After discussing what was going on Roda wanted further investigation as surgically he wasnt convinced i did have underlying issues and sent me away with my to do list. Whilst I was so disappointed I am so greatful to him. I needed that kick to recentre and tick off the todo list which I did. He could have sat there booked the surgery and taken my money but he didn’t my best interests were at the top of his priority list. Second consultation we discussed my to fo list and outcomes. My surgery was then booked for 6 weeks later. I was so excited. The day after surgery when I saw myself for the first time…..was an incredible moment and to not be in pain was astonishing everything just felt tight. Like I’d been in the gym doing crunches. The Bella Vou facilities are lovely very relaxing spa vibes and very clean. The anaesthetist was so lovely and the aftercare staff have been so reassuring caring and attentive, especially Gabriella and Agatha. You are supplied with everything you need for aftercare which is so helpful as the last thing you want to be doing is filling prescriptions. My Lymphatic massage with Nikki was great it really helped my early recovery I look forward to my next one! The Chauffeur service was a lovely touch and made arriving such a breeze the driver was lovely and this helped make me feel calm making sure I was booked in on arrival etc… Bella Vou’s location is brilliant with parking directly behind lovely shops and restaurants opposite when being collected after surgery your family member can park right outside so that you do not have far to walk or you can use the chauffeur service. The staff are amazing and my patient coordinator Julia has been available and with me every step of the way nothing is too much for her. I’ve read lots of reviews about Jason the nurse and I was lucky to have him as my dedicated nurse the day of surgery. The aftercare at Bella Vou is amazing and you’re sent away with peace of mind that someone is there for you 24/7 lots of medication and I was left comfortable. With my research, I thought I would have more downtime than I actually have. All the other staff I’ve come across are also lovely however can’t name them. My scar is amazing and neat. I could see a huge change straight after coming out of the theatre… I spent lots of time in front of a mirror in complete amazement – the transformation was incredible! I had my chin back and the lines on my neck had disappeared! I had a slight bruising and swelling…almost 10 months later, I can honestly say that I am absolutely delighted with the result. My face looks great, it looks fresher and my chin has definition. My neck is smooth and free of lines and wrinkles. I love the way I look and I thank Amir and the whole Bella Vou team for doing a great job!

As a young women who has never undergone any type of cosmetic procedure before I was extremely nervous. It has now been three weeks since I had the procedure and my recovery is progressing well. Initially, I experienced quite a lot of pain for the first few days, especially around the ears but gradually this improved, so much so that a week later it almost totally disappeared when I was seen for my check-up. I have a very active lifestyle and was back playing tennis, dancing, and doing Zumba just over two weeks later. There is still a tightness around my ears and a little bit of overall swelling but this is only noticeable to me. Within a week I was out and about, shopping and bumping into people who did not notice the swelling at all. I have grown my hair so that it hangs around my ears and the scars are unseen. I feel well and confident and no longer have the jowls and lines that I had before. Because the procedure was carried out under a local anaesthetic, the downtime was very short, and the scarring and bruising are barely visible. The staff at Bella Vou are extremely supportive and friendly and Dr Amir Nakhdjevani completely allayed any fears I had before, during, and after the procedure. He talked throughout the procedure explaining as he went and the time went quite quickly. He is a total professional and I am very pleased with the outcome.

I’ve seen Dr. Holmes at Bella Vou for Anti-Wrinkle Injections and tear trough filler. My experience couldn’t be more positive. I’ve previously had Anti-Wrinkle Injections and filler (though not tear trough filler) at another clinic near my home but wasn’t fully satisfied for reasons that I’ll come to. I then had surgery at Bella Vou last year and was so impressed with… well, everything… that I thought I’d try getting my aesthetic treatments done there, too… Tear trough filler was something I was nervous about from a pain perspective, but Dr Holmes used a cannula, and I barely even felt it. In contrast, my previous injector used a syringe for filler and I think this contributed to the discomfort and bruising. Most importantly, the results look fantastic. Very natural, but refreshed. Bella Vou is a 2 hour train or car journey for me, but I’m more than happy to do 4 hours of travel to receive such superior treatment. I can’t recommend Dr Holmes and Bella Vou enough.

The first time I met Rado I was a shell of my true self. Weighed down by my previous surgery after a cervical cancer diagnosis. I didn’t love myself or my body. Rado declined to operate on me at our first consultation. After discussing what was going on Roda wanted further investigation as surgically he wasnt convinced i did have underlying issues and sent me away with my to do list. Whilst I was so disappointed I am so greatful to him. I needed that kick to recentre and tick off the todo list which I did. The Bella Vou facilities are lovely very relaxing spa vibes and very clean. You are supplied with everything you need for aftercare which is so helpful as the last thing you want to be doing is filling prescriptions. My Lymphatic massage with Nikki was great it really helped my early recovery I look forward to my next one! The Chauffeur service was a lovely touch and made arriving such a breeze the driver was lovely and this helped make me feel calm making sure I was booked in on arrival etc… Bella Vou’s location is brilliant with parking directly behind lovely shops and restaurants opposite when being collected after surgery your family member can park right outside so that you do not have far to walk or you can use the chauffeur service. I chose Amir as my surgeon because, on our first meeting, he answered all my questions and was able to dissuade me from my previously held ideas about my breast surgery whilst convincing me of a better route to take… I had a total of 3 consultations with Amir before my operation as well as a phone call with the nurse to discuss my medical history, what to expect for the procedure on the day plus to answer any questions I may have had. It has now been three weeks since I had the procedure and my recovery is progressing well. Initially, I experienced quite a lot of pain for the first few days, especially around the ears but gradually this improved, so much so that a week later it almost totally disappeared when I was seen for my check-up. I have a very active lifestyle and was back playing tennis, dancing, and doing Zumba just over two weeks later. There is still a tightness around my ears and a little bit of overall swelling but this is only noticeable to me. Within a week I was out and about, shopping and bumping into people who did not notice the swelling at all. I have grown my hair so that it hangs around my ears and the scars are unseen. I feel well and confident and no longer have the jowls and lines that I had before. Because the procedure was carried out under a local anaesthetic, the downtime was very short, and the scarring and bruising are barely visible. The staff at Bella Vou are extremely supportive and friendly and Dr Amir Nakhdjevani completely allayed any fears I had before, during, and after the procedure.
