My hair is shedding and some is growing ? Have I lost my grafts?

The hair that is harvested and implanted in your scalp will eventually shed. The hair follicles all exist in different phases of growth – the growth phase, resting phase and shedding phase. When the hair is harvested, we do no t know which hairs will be in each phase. Therefore, some hairs may shed straight away. Others may continue to grow and some may remain static. This is all normal.

Even if the hair sheds, the roots of the hairs are embedded in the scalp skin and these will then start to grow. It usually takes 18 months to two years for the hair to grow through. So you will not see your final result till this time.
