My facelift surgeon told me the hair loss is nothing to do with the facelift? Is this true?

Most face-lift patients are discharged from their clinicians by 1 year. The majority of cases of hair-loss occur at least 18 months after a face-lift. Generally they occur where the scars have been placed in the hair line and when staples or sutures are used above the skin in these areas. This results in trauma to the hair follicles and subsequent loss of hair.
