When can I massage the scar?

The stitch will be removed from the scar at 1 week. Following this, the wound will reach its maximum strength by 4-6 weeks. It is advisable to withhold strenuous massage until at least 4 weeks. Thereafter, you can start massaging the scar to soften it.
