Can I lose clitoral sensation?

You will have a temporary reduction in sensation due to the local anaesthetic. We do not damage the nerves to the clitoris during the surgery, but you will be bruised and swollen in this area. This will therefore reduce your sensitivity.

The feeling usually returns to normal but can sometimes take 3- 6 months. Due to the nature of the surgery, more of the clitoris is exposed and therefore a higher chance for you to achieve  stronger or increased intensity and frequency of orgasm. This affect is not guaranteed but many patients have experienced this affect.
