Best treatment for pigmentation

Venus Viva – Have you tried every lightening product you can get your hands on still those freckles persist, try this. Using some punchy radio-frequency, the Venus Viva annihilates patchy and blemished skin on two levels: the epidermis (top Layer) and the dermis (what’s underneath). A black gun, attached to what seems like a Mac, is swiftly moved over the face while it’s rectangular top – packed with 160 pins – fires pulses of energy into the skin. The cone shaped pins don’t puncture the surface, the energy does however, searing through the top layer – leaving minute holes in its wake – whilst simultaneously heating deep tissue. It’s rather an aggressive wound and repair process: obliterating visible pigment and boosting collagen production. It takes around 20 minutes to do the face, and there are countless ways it can be used, too: like firing up less pins, or increasing the pulses from said pins.

PAIN FACTOR: It depends, largely on how many pins you plump for, but as a rule the more are used, the worse it hurts – the forehead being the most sensitive. However, the numbing cream makes the process rather tingly than really painful, like being stroked with a stinging nettle.

DOWNTIME: Relatively small for such a powerful treatment. A feeling of prickly heat and redness is highly likely for 12 to 24 hours. You’ll notice too, an initial sandpapery feel to the skin, which lasts for around 7 days until the shiny new stuff comes up to the surface.

RESULTS: One week on, skin evens out and clarity is noticeable. For a serious overhaul, a minimum of three treatments, three weeks apart, are recommended.
