Throughout your recovery with Bella Vou, you will attend regular sessions with our dedicated Scar Clinic to help support healthy healing. Our in-clinic wound specialists will monitor your progress, assess scar formation, and provide expert care to ensure optimal outcomes.
1 Week
During the first few days after surgery, the incision site will be swollen, bruised, and may ooze a small amount of blood or fluid. It is important to keep the area clean and dry, and follow any instructions given by your surgeon for wound care. You may also experience some pain and discomfort, which can be managed with medication. After a week or so, the incision site will begin to form a scar. The scar will be raised, and firm to the touch. This is a normal part of the healing process and the scar will begin to fade over time.
6 Months
Over the next few weeks and months, the scar will continue to mature and soften. It may change colour and become less noticeable. Swelling gradually subsides and Breasts settle into their new, uplifted position. It is important to avoid exposing the scar to direct sunlight, as this can cause it to darken.
1 Year
The final results of your cosmetic surgery will be visible once the scar has fully healed and matured. This can take up to a year or more, depending on the type of procedure and your individual healing process.

Didn’t even notice I had a boob job no pain I must admit I was a little uncomfortable with my stomach but no pain so happy. What can I say?! Having worked as a midwife in the NHS for 30 years I can honestly say that Rado is up there with the best! I had the full works: a 360 circumferential abdominoplasty, abdominal hernia repair, four areas of liposuction and a breast uplift – and somehow, I still came out smiling (and very snatched!). From start to finish, Rado, my surgeon, was a complete superstar; honest, approachable, kind, and always up for answering my many (many!) questions without making me feel silly – a rare combination of warmth and professionalism. He’s not one of those surgeons who gives you the hard sell or disappears once the surgery is done. He genuinely cares about his patients (yes, really cares – not just the polite kind). I am almost 4 weeks post surgery, I had a breast uplift and a thigh lift. Amir was my surgeon and I couldn’t have chosen a better one, from the first meeting he was so open and so honest with everything , which I really appreciated, he filled me with much needed confidence and I felt that I would be able to love myself after having my surgery having discussed everything with him and what to expect. I am so grateful to him, after losing 7 stone in weight and being left with excess skin and breasts that were empty I decided to go to Bella vou which is something I never thought I would do, but it had changed my life, I am amazed at what Amir has done especially with my breasts as I really didn’t believe they would even resemble a breast again, but I am sat here today with two perfectly pert breasts and I love them !! I never thought I would say that. My thighs are incredible too, they look so shaped and toned and I now know I will feel confident enough to be able to wear bikini bottoms and not have to ever worry again . Everybody at Bella vou has been amazing, from the lovely lady on reception, to the lovely lady upstairs who keeps you comfortable with drinks and biscuits. I had my breast augmentation done 2 weeks ago so final results are yet to be seen but I’m absolutely over the moon so far, I had a breast lift and implants done after having 2 children and I’m so impressed with how good they look. I was feeling so nervous about having a consultation but Amir and the team put me Completely at ease, from the minute I entered the building I knew I had chosen the right place, from consultation to after care I cannot fault anything, Iv never met such a team of lovely people. I would highly recommend Bella Vou if you’re considering any kind of cosmetic surgery especially Dr Amir. From the moment I stepped into Bella Vou I felt so welcome & relaxed every member of staff is so friendly and can’t do enough for you. I had done some of my own research into the clinic before my consultation with Dr Amir but every video I had watched and reviews I read were exactly who he was in person kind, caring & very knowledgeable he listened to everything I wanted to achieve. My amazing patient coordinator is Julia she is so lovely and couldn’t do enough for me, she has been so reassuring and such a friendly face to see whenever at the clinic, always on hand to answer any questions I couldn’t have gone through this all without her. My surgery went really well, Amir is incredible at what he does. I was so well cared for & the rooms are spotless. I was sent home with all my medication & a timed schedule when they needed to be taken. I was also offered the Chaucer service to my 1 week post op appointment, my driver Andy was very friendly & held good conversation. I also received a beautiful bunch of flowers a week after my surgery which was a lovely little touch. I’m just under 2 weeks post op and almost back to normal, I’m excited to see my results over the next coming weeks/months. Bella Vou really is the best clinic, all the small touches will make your journey with them so special. I can’t thank them all enough!
