Buttock Lift (Gluteoplasty)
Buttock augmentation surgery helps to address patients concerns with the appearance of their buttocks. These concerns can be in relation to their size or shape or the presence of sagging skin and surgery can help to improve these aspects. Buttock augmentation can be performed on its own with buttock implants; buttock-lift (butt-lift) surgery (skin removal; fat transfer); or in combination with other procedures such as abdominoplasty and breast augmentation as part of a more comprehensive body contouring plan.
Is this right for me?
This depends on what you are looking to achieve. If you have sagging skin or extra fat around your buttocks then a buttock lift is a good option. However, if you are self conscious about the size of your bottom; or the excess skin and fat makes you feel uncomfortable, then a buttock lift and liposuction maybe more beneficial. However, if you want a pert and fuller bottom then having a Brazilian butt lift is more advisable.
What does this involve?
This surgery involves removing the extra skin and fat, through incision (cutting out) and/or liposuction. The scar tends to be across the waist/upper buttock area. You will have a general anaesthetic and will require at least one night inpatient hospital stay. We will use simple dressings to cover the wounds and we do not use drains.
