Keep Your Eyes Looking Alive With These Tips And Tricks

When I first meet someone, I’m naturally drawn to their eyes. I can always tell what kind of person they are just by looking into their eyes.

Eyes can tell a story about a person’s life and depending on lifestyle and other factors, the eyes can be one of the first places to show signs of aging.

I want to stave off wrinkles and any signs of skin aging as much as possible, my daily anti-aging routine is flawless and includes applying sunscreen along with an effective eye cream. Unfortunately, just using creams alone isn’t always enough to keep your eye area looking as youthful as possible. There are many alternative treatments available for when you wish to take bigger steps.

Beauty is how you feel on the inside and is reflected in your eyes

Eyelash Enhancement

Eye enhancement does not need to be complex it can be something as simple as lash extensions or eyelash growth serum. Eyelash extensions are applied to individual lashes with eye-safe glue and is typically performed in a salon. Whilst they have amazing results, they are not permanent and require infills every two to three weeks for maintenance.

This can become quite costly so the next step, naturally, would be an Eyelash Transplant performed here at our Bella Vou Clinic in Tunbridge Wells by Mr Amir Nakhdjevani and his elite team of Hair Technicians.

Eyebrow and Eyelash restoration uses follicular unit transplantation (FUT) to create a truly natural look—because it uses your own natural hair. Eyebrow and eyelash transplant surgery uses a small amount of hair from just above the ear area.

This cosmetic procedure usually takes between 2-3 hours and is performed under local anaesthetic while carrying minimal risk of leaving any scarring or marks.

You can also enhance your natural lashes with an eyelash growth serum like Latisse or Revitalash, which help grow the lashes longer in a fairly short period of time.

Eyes are the Window to the Soul

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Lines at the sides of the eyes become more pronounced the older you get so in terms of combating this concern, anti-wrinkle injections are an ideal solution. These injections can also be performed as a preventative measure and may delay or prevent the crow’s feet from even appearing in the first place. To ensure this is maintained, we recommend having top ups every 4 to 6 months.

Eyelid Surgery

This eye surgery is becoming more and more popular due to Amir’s technique of performing the surgery under local anaesthetic. You may have seen recently in various news articles our lovely Gabriella’s amazing results following her upper blepharoplasty.

Extra skin and fat on the upper eyelid can cause the eyes to look and feel tired. Some extreme cases have shown that the extra skin can hang so much that it can hamper vision and cause discomfort. Eyelid surgery combined with eyebag removal can effectively reduce the excess skin from the upper and lower eyelids to leave you with wider, more youthful looking eyes.

Scars fade very quickly to become invisible within a few weeks. Your cosmetic surgeon will place the upper eyelid scar in the fold of skin and the lower eyelid scar just under your lower eyelashes.

Once you do it, you never have to have it done again.

Smile with your eyes

Dermal Fillers

If your under eye bags are not so large that you require surgery, it is possible to improve the overall appearance by using a Dermal Filler like Juvederm, to smooth the area out. The filler would be applied in the “tear trough” (where the puffiness from the eye bag meets the non-puffy skin) to create a smooth even look.
