Bella Vou News – August 2019

Welcome to the latest Bella Vou Video News

In this edition we will be discussing the huge benefits of laser resurfacing and announcing some upcoming events.

Of course, it’s not possible to escape the ill-effects of time, sun, and environmental exposure on the skin, especially the delicate and exposed skin of the face and hands. In fact, damage from UV exposure is responsible for at least 80% of the visible signs of ageing!

Laser skin resurfacing can undo some of these signs by using concentrated beams of light to stimulate collagen production, giving your skin a fresher look.

Laser skin resurfacing — which gently removes the top layer of your skin to reveal the healthy layer underneath — is more effective at tackling sun damage than other treatments because creams and facials can’t go as deep into the skin layers as lasers.

One key benefit is precision, as you may not need the same level of treatment everywhere on your skin, or you may only want to treat a few areas. For example, our specialists may recommend one laser system that goes deeper to address areas affected by lines and wrinkles and another laser that works best on areas affected by hyperpigmentation. At Bella Vou, we offer several options for laser skin resurfacing to ensure you get the results you want.

Our 4th generation CO2RE lasers are also friendly with darker skin tones, whereas procedures such as chemical peels may increase your risk for hyperpigmentation.

CO2RE™ laser resurfacing can restore a smoother, younger-looking skin texture using fractional CO2 laser energy to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and reduce scarring, blemishes, age spots, and sun damage around the face, chest, décolletage, and hands.

Although it’s a stronger treatment that requires additional downtime, it's worth using for sun spots and lines that don’t respond to other therapies.

Dr. Holmes and the Bella Vou team use the multi-purpose functionality of the CO2RE system to carefully create a skin rejuvenation plan tailored to the patient’s unique needs and accommodate the patient’s personal choice on speed of treatment, downtime, and the number of sessions desired.

Seek medical advice before investing in a laser treatment.

Dr Mark Holmes can help you determine whether laser skin resurfacing is the right procedure for you and fill you in on the steps you need to take before having such a procedure.
